The CFCA Board is excited to announce that we will be having sports this Spring! We are working with the Department of Health in creating guidelines that are most up to date for moderate sports played in Spring. The commissioners will have this information for you as soon as it's approved.

With this, we will not be having in person sign ups this year. The only way to sign up is by contacting the commissioner listed below for further information on how to submit the necessary forms and to get on their list. They will also be able to inform you on any regulations to follow for the season as well as scheduling. Please understand, our field situation is different than years past as no school fields are available to us at this time therefore, we are working with Town of Chenango for fields as well as other shared use spaces.

To get on the contact list, please email the corresponding email below. When emailing, please put your athletes name/grade in the subject. In the body of the email please give; your name, athletes name, age, grade, cell phone number and any other email addresses you'd like used. This will be the ONLY way to register your child to receive follow up information on how to register and pay.

President’s Corner: CFCA Programs Under Pressure

For nearly 50 years the CFCA has been focused on providing sports and other programs for the youth of our area. A hallmark of the CFCA has always been it’s volunteers. We have always been a volunteer organization, with everyone from the board of directors to the assistant coaches giving of their time and talents supporting the programs that benefit of our regions children.

Recently, we have seen a marked decline in volunteerism across all of our programs. While our participation numbers remain at relatively the same level year-to-year, each season it is harder and harder to find the number of coaches and other volunteers we need. Sport commissioners and coaches, who already handle the primary workload of planning and organizing programs, end up doing many other tasks as well, such as fundraising, concession stands, etc.. There are always many jobs that need to be done, please consider what you can do as a volunteer. Your contributions are needed, and will keep our programs going.

Thanks to all spring sports commissioners, coaches, & volunteers for another successful CFCA spring sports season

Our 5 Spring Sports programs successfully gave 330+ children a chance to develop their skills. CFCA programs don’t run successfully without the help of all the willing volunteers. Thanks to Commissioners Justin Frost (Softball), Jim Bender (Baseball), Mike Boyle (Majors BB), Vinnie and Amy Polocek (Boy’s Lacrosse), JT O’Brien (Girl’s Lacrosse), and Kyle Blackman (Tee-Ball) for their dedication to our youth. Thanks also to ALL the various coordinators, coaches and other volunteers that make it possible for the CFCA to have such successful programs. 6/2/2018
